Digital Payouts allow stores to pay customers electronically instead of using cash. This can reduce the need to keep large amounts of cash on hand and reduce bank runs.
Baseline uses Tremendous to power these payouts. After a digital payout is issued, the customer receives a link to choose how they would like to receive their funds.
Common payout options may include:
- Visa Card
- Bank Transfer
- Venmo
- PayPal
- Gift Cards
The available options may vary depending on the payout amount and the payout methods supported by Tremendous.
Tremendous accounts must be set up through BaseCamp - please reach out to Tech Support to request your account be created.

How Digital Payouts Work
Digital payouts are issued during the normal purchase workflow after a customer accepts an offer for their items.
The process works as follows:
- Items are appraised
- The customer selects Digital Payout as their payout method
- The employee confirms the customer's email address or phone number
- The employee completes the invoice and issues the payout
- Tremendous sends the customer a payout link
- The customer uses the link to select how they would like to receive their funds.
Once the digital payout is sent from Baseline, Tremendous handles the rest of the process. Depending on the payout option selected, the customer may be asked to provide additional information to complete the transfer.
Scripting Guidance for Stores
Most stores have found success introducing digital payouts using simple language.
Recommended explanation:
"For the digital payout, we send you a link where you can choose how you want to receive your funds. You'll be able to choose options like a Visa card, bank transfer, or gift card."
There is typically no need to explain fees unless the customer asks about them directly.
Payout Options and Requirements
Tremendous offers a variety of payout methods. You should check your Tremendous account for the latest product offerings.
Some payout options have minimum or maximum payout requirements, which means they may not appear if the payout amount falls outside the supported range.
Some monetary transactions (such as Venmo and bank transfers) include a 2% processing fee, which is deducted from the payout amount for that option. Customers will always see at least one option that does not include a fee.
